The highlighted release from Perdomo this year has begun arriving at retail, as several stores have reported receiving the Double Aged 12 Year Vintage in recent days. The cigar was announced in early June in a rather unique way, with a post on CigarBid.com announcing the cigar’s pending arrival. The line is available in three wrappers: Sun Grown, Connecticut and Maduro, with the same four sizes being made in each version, for a total of 12 new facings. There are four sizes in each wrapper version:  5 x 56 robusto ($10), 6 x 56 epicure ($10.50), 7 x 56 churchill ($11) and 6 1/2 x 60 gordo extra ($11.50). Perdomo describes the cigar as “a blend of our finest and most cherished 12 year old fillers, binders, and wrappers.” The tobacco used in the cigar has been bale aged for ten years and then barrel aged for an additional two years via the company’s proprietary double-aging process. Each leaf is then aged in charred, white oak bourbon barrels, which Perdomo says “ensures the perfect color, texture, aroma, and flavor in these tobaccos, making each cigar a well-balanced and full-flavored smoking experience.”
