The Kent County Parks and Recreation department is looking at implementing a new policy in six parks that would make them completely tobacco free, whether that be lit or unlit tobacco products. The move has been met with opposition from at least one Levy Court commissioner, who called it government overreach and advised the department not to implement it, according to WBOC.com. The Levy Court commissioners are scheduled to discuss that proposal again at their meeting next week. Kent County is home to nearly 170,000 residents and is located on the eastern side of the state, with Dover as its largest city and county seat.
