J. Fuego’s Heat Arrives in Stores

There really isn’t a more appropriate time for J. Fuego’s latest to creation to begin arriving at retailers, as Heat has begun showing up in stores in the dog days of summer. The cigar has been in the works for some time, with Fuego first mentioning it to halfwheel in September 2013, noting that he hoped to have it released the following spring. Those plans changed, as did the blend of the cigar, which went from being a cigar based around a Pennsylvania-grown wrapper to a cigar that Fuego thinks will do a good job filling the void left by the discontinuation of the 777 Corojo. The J. Fuego Heat uses a Honduran Corojo wrapper, Nicaraguan Corojo binder, with Ecuadorian Sumatra and Nicaraguan Criollo for the filler, and Fuego says it offers a smooth, deep, medium-bodied flavor. The cigars are being made in Honduras at Tabacos de Oriente S.A. The original blend for Heat ended up becoming the J. Fuego Americana, which was released in May. The J.
