Fred Rewey of Nomad Cigar Company kicked off 2014 with an email that provided a preview of what he is hoping to deliver in 2014. Rewey highlighted a number of projects, with the most immediate being a pair of new sizes for the Nomad S-307 line, a 6 x 58 and a 5 1/2 x 44. The Nomad S-307 line was announced July 1, 2013 thought weren’t on display at the 2013 IPCPR Convention and Trade Show. They began shipping around November 4, debuting in three sizes: a 6 x 50 toro, 5 x 50 robusto and 6 1/2 x 52 torpedo, and Rewey said that the requests for the two new sizes came as soon as the line was released. Also on the horizon for Nomad Cigar Company is a new cigar featuring a Connecticut wrapper, a process that Rewey said he has been working on for nearly two years. “The entire process, which I thought was going to be easy, knocked me on my ass.
